I want to thank everyone who took the time to email their support for the Grambling Brothers proposal ahead of Monday’s County Council first reading and review.
PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR EMAILS BEFORE NOON TOMORROW!
I've done my best to make the case for this land development, which directly abuts our community. I believe we stand at a crossroads: this proposal could be either a net positive as currently designed or return the developer to choosing to build out the full 9,000 residential units - a net negative for our little village — the choice is genuinely that consequential.
I'm no urban planner, but my many years as a real estate developer have given me real insight into evaluating what's on the table. This comes down to a classic "bird in the hand versus one in the bush." Saying yes secures a significant investment in our community's future, close-in commercial access, better form and function, and years of financial stability for our properties. Saying no or withholding our support risks losing an opportunity that may never come our way again.
This is the last hurdle. Please take a minute to let the Council know today of your support — it could make all the difference.
